Following the rumors that Joe Alwyn and Taylor Swift have broken up, TayTay has been spotted back in New York City.
Although we could not deduce too much from the photo, she is seemingly in good spirits as she had dinner with her good friend and close collaborator, Jack Antonoff.
Taylor Swift, Joe Alwyn Split
Earlier last week, Entertainment Tonight reported that Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn had broken up after six years of a relationship.
People Magazine also reported the same thing independently, but yesterday, the magazine said that from a source, the reason for their breakup seemed to be longtime coming already.
"They've had rough patches before and always worked things out, so friends thought they would take some time apart but eventually come back together," the source revealed.
They also said that "ultimately," the couple "weren't a good fit for one another."
Aside from that, the insider further elaborated that when the pandemic hit, their "safety bubble" seemed to have burst as they were locked down together and continued to grow their relationship.
"But he didn't really 'know' her yet outside of that bubble," the source elaborated.
Another angle to Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn's break up was that Alwyn apparently had struggled to keep up with Taylor Swift's level of fame and attention from the public - as well as their differences in their personalities that have become harder to ignore as time goes by.

Taylor Swift, Jack Antonoff Spotted in NYC
Despite the shocking news, Taylor Swift nor Joe Alwyn has not yet issued any comments or clarification on the said ordeal.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift was recently spotted in New York City's West Village, being the third wheel to Antonoff and his fiancee, Margaret Qualley. (via TMZ)
Based on the photos, Taylor Swift, at least on the outside, has no proof that she has just gotten out of a six-year relationship breakup. Also, it could also seem unlikely that a person who has just gotten off a breakup would hang out with an engaged couple shortly after.
To be fair, Alwyn nor Swift has yet to confirm nor deny the ongoing reports about their relationship.
Before being spotted in New York, Swift was snapped shooting a music video in Liverpool with actress, Joey King. The music video she was shooting at the time was not yet revealed, but fans have a lot of theories about what it actually was.
