It was Tom DeLonge who announced that they would be gracing the highly-anticipated festival in a tweet.

Coachella announced it too on its social media platforms. On Twitter, the organizers released the official set times for Coachella 2023; subtly hiding among the sea of names is Blink 182.

According to the schedule, Blink 182's Coachella performance will take place in the Sahara Tent on Friday, Mar. 14, 2023, from 6:45 p.m. to 7:35 p.m., which is under an hour of performance.

The Blink 182 Coachella performance setlist has not been revealed. However, it could be said that the band would be performing a medley of their most beloved hits and their most recent single, "Edging."

Aside from Blink 182, Grammy-winning singer James Blake was also sneaked into the lineup despite not being announced initially. He will perform on the Do Lab set on Friday at around 8:30 p.m.

The Blink 182 Coachella performance would mark the first time the band would perform in years. This marks the first time the original trio performed ever since DeLonge departed the band in 2015. At the time, Alkaline Trio Matt Skiba joined the band but was benched again when DeLonge and Hoppus mended after their falling out.

Blink 182 Tour Postponed

Supposedly, Coachella should not be the first time the original trio will perform again in years. However, Travis Barker, the band's drummer, sustained a significant injury on his finger which prompted the band to postpone their Latin America dates.

In a rehearsal, Barker dislocated his finger. Two weeks later, he had a similar injury and needed to be treated via surgery. To give him time to recover, the band has decided to postpone the said Latin America dates to 2024.

The Blink 182 2023 Tour in North America and Europe is still scheduled to take place starting May until September 2023. The Oceania and South America dates are slated for 2024.
