From his early days sitting under the piano at camps and events to his current position at S5, Sam Silver's journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. This talented DJ, producer, and musician has a unique approach to music, merging the worlds of hip-hop and electronic music to create a sound that sets him apart. The artist's debut EP, How I Hear It, showcases this incredible fusion.

Silver's passion for music began at a young age when he would accompany his mother to various events and absorb the sound of the piano. This early exposure led him to play the piano and DJ for fun, which eventually turned into a full-time pursuit. At just 14, he interned at Practice WorldWide, where his song was accidentally chosen as MTV TRL's Song of the Year, giving him a taste of what it was like to impact people with his sound and message.

Silver himself has been impacted by the passing of his manager, Gary Salzman, from Covid-19. Yet, from this challenge, he found inspiration and continued to develop his sound. Salzman had supported Silver throughout his development, and his loss deeply affected him both personally and artistically. The EP How I Hear It is drawn from Silver's own experiences and is a tribute to the different stages and scenarios people go through in relationships and how different people relate to these scenarios during the course of their lives.

The intro of the EP signifies the natural end of everything good, leading into the first track featuring A$AP Twelvyy, which delves into the progression of young love, from infatuation to heartbreak. Silver based this energy on what was happening to himself at the time, drawing from his own inexperience and youth. The second track, "Pacifistic," is about maintaining independence in a relationship, having a good time, and not letting anything get you down.

The third track explores the struggle of supporting a partner when you see them spiraling out of control. The conflict arises when you have the awareness you are making your situation worse, but you still try to support your partner to ultimately make the relationship work. The fourth track is a little lighter and is based on how nervous you can get when going on a first date. For example, you pray that the person across the table from you won't let you down because people often do. Collectively, the tracks demonstrate the emotional rollercoaster many people go through during the course of a relationship.

Silver's innovative approach to combining hip-hop and electronic music has the potential to pioneer a whole new genre, attracting fans from the worlds of hip-hop, electronic, dance, and rave who may be festival goers, clubbers, or just passionate music enthusiasts. With over 14 million streams across all platforms, Silver's accomplishments include performing at renowned venues such as Virgo, Kind Regards, Gold Bar, and East Berlin. He has also opened for Common with Brian King Joseph at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas and scored the Cowboy UFC documentary.

Looking to the future, Silver envisions himself playing at festivals and clubs worldwide and collaborating with artists he admires. This exciting journey has only just begun for the talented artist, and How I Hear It is a testament to the immense potential that Sam Silver holds in the ever-evolving world of music.
