After six years together, things between singer-songwriter Taylor Swift and actor Joe Alwyn had ended.
In the last weeks of April, news began to emerge that the pair had decided to part ways.
An anonymous source suggested that it was a mutual decision by both parties who could no longer see a future together.
When the news broke, a source told ET, "The relationship had just run its course." Since then, though, more sources claim that Taylor's affection for Joe waned to nothing.
"Taylor and Joe had discussed becoming husband and wife," a source reported to Radar Online. "But after considering what marriage would truly mean for her life, Taylor didn't feel content with staying in one place - it was like she was resigned to the idea."
Nights after the heartbreaking announcement of Taylor and her significant other's parting ways, the singer was seen leaving NYC restaurant Via Carota with producer Jack Antonoff and his fiancé Margaret Qualley.
As news of the split spread, those present reported that Taylor Swift didn't seem heartbroken as giddy fans captured images from the scene.

Taylor Swift is currently in her element, basking in thousands of devout fans' adoration. An insider said that the singer feels an intense bond with the crowd, a feeling which has acted as a soothing balm during this difficult time after her breakup.
As the source revealed, Joe should expect some music from their split. "She's already jotting down words for new songs," they said.
