Happy birthday, Eric Avery! It looks like the on-and-off member of Jane's Addiction is set to reunite with his former band. Read on for bassist, Eric Avery's bio, his career with Jane's Addiction, and his new project of writing new songs for his former band!

Eric Avery Bio 

Eric Avery was born in Los Angeles, California, on April 25, 1965. He was famously known for proejcts like, "Southland Tales" (2006), "Gone in 60 Seconds" (2000), and "Parenthood" (1989), as per ImdB. Avery was the co-founder of the alternative rock band, Jane's Addiction. 

Eric Avery and Jane's Addiction 

Eric Avery first left Jane's Addiction in 1991. He returned for the band's 2008 reunion, only to make his last exit from the group in 2010. After Avery left the band in 1991, and following Jane's Addiction's simultaneous disbandment at the time, he worked on multiple projects in the music business. Some of these projects included co-founding Deconstruction with co-Jane's Addiction alum, Dave Navarro. Avery also formed his own band called, Polarbear, in 1994, as per Allmusic.com. 

The Bassist Confirmed Plan to Write New Songs for His Band 

On August 2022, Avery posted a social media update that showed him collaborating on working new music with former fellow Jane's Addiction member, Perry Farrell. This post confirmed that Avery is writing songs again for Jane's Addiction after having left the band more than ten years ago, as per Loudwire.com. 

In a follow-up post in social media, Avery said: "Today marks the end of our current sessions. Four promising new song ideas. Big thanks to you all for all the kind words of support. It leaves me feeling inspired. Honestly. It produces the best kind of pressure, your passion leaves me determined to do all I can for Jane's Addiction.", having tagged Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, and drummer Stephen Perkins in the said post.
