John Mayer's career has spanned decades, and he has been on several tours in recent years, but it seems like "The Solo" Tour is taking the cake for being his most successful.

According to Billboard, the singer-songwriter's tour earned a whopping $39.3 million, with 251,000 tickets sold across 19 shows in just its first leg. That's in comparison to Mayer's previous tour in 2022, the "Sob Rock" Tour, which reportedly earned $51.8 million across 32 shows.

It is no surprise that the singer is looking into expanding his tour and striking while the iron is hot.

UK, Europe Tour

As per Radio Times, the singer will be heading to the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe after the American leg of the tour, which is expected to pick up in 2024.

"I'm excited to announce 2024 Europe and UK Solo tour dates!" Mayer announced on social media. "I'm equally as excited that one of my favourite artists Madison Cunningham will be joining me as well. Tickets go on sale starting Friday 21st April at 10 AM local time."

It should be noted that the singer's European leg is not extensive as one would think.

As of this writing, he has announced shows in the following cities: Oslo, Norway on Mar 15; Copenhagen, Denmark on Mar 16; London, UK on Mar 18; Amsterdam, Netherlands on Mar 21; Paris, France on Mar 24; Glasgow, UK on Mar 27; and finally, Dublin, Ireland on Mar 29.

However, apparently, there's a perfectly good reason why Mayer is taking his tour to these cities, and not everywhere else: he already knows which places will rake in bigger revenue.

After all, he has been on 10 tours in the past, he probably already knows where he should be performing at.

Net Worth

According to reports, the singer has an estimated net worth of $70 million, with most of his earnings coming from tours and music sales.

His biggest tour to date was his world tour in 2019 which brought in $66.1 million, followed by "The Search for Everything" world tour in 2017.

It seems like "The Solo" tour is following suit, and after its successful run in North America, it might actually perform better than its two predecessors.

He once talked about outdoing records his previous tours have set: "If you get half a million, at a certain stage, you probably will get 4 million people, if they can hear it. The touring thing is unbelievable. It really is amazing from what we did the last tour even to what we are doing now."
