Rihanna reigns over the Met Gala, but in recent years she has not been attending, and the world has been terribly missing her jaw-dropping looks.

However, fans should not fret too much because it seems like she will be making a comeback very soon.

According to reports, the "Umbrella" singer was seen leaving a restaurant casually draped in Karl Lagerfeld's Chanel from head to toe.

Ironically, this year's Met Gala theme is "Karl Lagerfeld: A Thing of Beauty," which pays tribute to the late fashion icon who passed away in 2019.

In line with that is a new art exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art named "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty" which will debut on the same day of the gala.

Is it all really just a simple coincidence?

Rihanna and the Met

Rihanna is a crowd favorite among the Met Gala attendees, the singer has a way of wowing the audiences and even her fellow attendees yearly.

Here is a refresher of the "Rude Boy" singer's best fits, according to Teen Vogue.

During the 2009 Met she surprised everyone by showing up wearing a black silk tux paired with black heels and her hair swept to one side.

Another iconic look she sported was at the 2014 Met. the theme was "Charles James: Beyond Fashion," and she wore a white form-fitting gown with an exposed back.

Of course, who could forget the "Pizza Dress" that she wore during the "China: Through the Looking Glass" for the 2015 Met. The fantastic yellow ensemble by Guo Pei was met with praises and its fair share of memes.

Rihanna's 2017 look for "Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between" is a stunner. It was made of floral rosettes paired with strappy heels.

Another iconic look that will probably never leave everyone's mind was the Pope-inspired fit she wore to the 2018 Met Gala by John Galliano.

Met Comeback

Many are interested to know whether the Fenty Beauty mogul will finally grace the red carpet of the Met Gala once again, after several years.
