Met Gala 2023: Ice Spice is Anna Wintour's Special Guest

Regarding her attendance at the Met Gala, which is always held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art during the first Monday in May, a news outlet reported that Vogue Magazine editor-in-chief Anna Wintour invited the rapper herself!

Insiders working in the event's production told the outlet that the musician was the fashion legend's special guest for the evening as she is also teaming up with Vogue and eBay for a special collaboration.

Speaking at the carpet with host La La Anthony, the "Bikini Bottom" songwriter said she's nervous walking at the iconic steps of the Met Museum.

"I'm just so grateful, I'm so happy to be here. You know, I was like really nervous approaching the carpet. And once I heard everybody screaming, I felt better," she said.

Ice Spice Music Update

The recent Met Gala appearance comes after one of Ice Spice's unreleased songs got leaked online, and many fans rejoiced as they wanted it to be officially released.

In early reports, a track titled "Like" made rounds on social media and users were confused as to why it isn't one of the songs included in the tracklist of her EP titled "Like...?"

The Bronx-based rapper had several references in the song including another female rapper, GloRilla.

"I got my n***** in check (Grrah)/Feel like GloRilla, I'm blessed/They wanna know what's next (Huh?)," she sang.

As of this writing, Ice Spice has yet to address the leak. She also didn't react to the recent comments about her unreleased song.
