Ted Nugent just announced his farewell tour titled "Adios Mofo," which will begin in a few months, but his upcoming shows are already met with controversy after one venue canceled on him; what happened?

According to Far Out Magazine, the country musician was scheduled to perform at Avondale Brewing Company on July 18, 2023.

However, upon announcing the show, the concert venue's social media post received backlash from fans, after they called the location out for allowing the musician to hold his show there despite making his controversial comments about the transgender community.

Birmingham's Al Bar also took online to announce that they will no longer support Avondale for their recent action, saying they will not purchase any beer from the venue and Good People Brewing Company.

Ted Nugent Alabama Show Canceled

Before Ted Nugent opened his tickets for sale to the general public, the venue finally announced that they will no longer have the singer as a performer at their place.

Taking to their official Instagram account, they wrote, "We have heard the concerns of the Avondale community, which is so important to us, and in conjunction with our partners, have taken the necessary steps to to cancel the Ted Nugent concert scheduled for July 18."

Ted Nugent Controversial Comments

The recent news comes after Nugent was met with backlash after making controversial comments against the transgender community.

The singer reacted to Bud Light's recent ad campaign featuring trans influencer Dylan Mulvany. The online personality took to her social media accounts to share the commemorative can she received from the brand which features her face on the side.

The musician was not happy about the company's recent move, opting him to voice his opinion on social media.

He noted that the advertisement was "disrespectful" to the brand's "core consumer demographic." He also told fans that his family and crew will no longer purchase Anheuser-Busch products. (via Billboard)

"This is the epitome of cultural deprivation in an ongoing tsunami of cultural deprivation," he added.

The company stood by their campaign as they wanted to "authentically connect with audiences across various demographics." A representative also clarified that Mulvany's commemorative can was not available for purchase as it was only a gift to "Celebrate a milestone."
