When Dolly Parton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, she expressed that she needed to "earn" it by releasing a rock album of her own.

"If I'm gonna be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I'm gonna have to earn it," the country icon declared before.

Many months later, Parton has finally unveiled the long-awaited rock album everyone has been begging her for; it's called "Rockstar" and will include some of the industry's biggest stars.

'Rockstar'

The singer announced the exciting news through Instagram with a picture of the album cover.

"I'm a rockstar now!" She wrote. "My new album 'Rockstar' is coming November 17 and it's available for pre-order."

"I am very honored and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure. I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I've enjoyed putting it together!"

The star-studded collaborators on the tracklist are something fans wouldn't want to miss out on. Parton brought in artists from every generation to work with her on this special album.
