Kate Middleton surprised Eurovision Song Contest fans with her piano performance of the song that won last year's competition. More recently, the champions, Kalush Orchestra, are inviting the royalty to go on tour with them.

According to Harpers Bazaar, the Princess of Wales' number became one of the key moments of the evening for the song contest's grand finale since the United Kingdom is this year's host country.

The performance has been a secret for weeks until it was finally released to the public during the show's airing.

The royal, who married Prince William in April of 2011, donned a stunning cobalt blue gown by Jenny Packham. In true royal fashion, she completed the look with a pair of silver pendant earrings.

Although her instrumental performance only lasted for 10 seconds, many were honored to watch her share her musical talent with the world as it was only the second time she played the piano publicly.

Kate Middleton Playing Piano

Kate Middleton first wowed the world with her musical talent during her performance for the "Royal Carols: Together at Christmas" on Christmas Eve in 2021.

The Duchess performed alongside Tom Walker as she wore a dazzling coat dress accessorized with a bow.

People Magazine's insider revealed that it was the princess's idea to play the piano as she learned how to play the instrument when she was a kid and she took "great comfort" in playing it during the pandemic and the lockdowns.

"She also recognizes the powerful way in which music brings people together - especially during difficult time," the source added.
