The rerecording, or simply put, Taylor's Version, of "Speak Now" is coming, which means some of Taylor Swift's exes will be put under the spotlight.

"Speak Now" is famously about two of the "Anti-Hero" singer's exes: Taylor Lautner and John Mayer.

However, the songs dedicated to these men cannot be any more different. Lautner inspired the heartbreaking ballad, "Back to December," where Swift sings about regret about a failed relationship.

On the other hand, Mayer's song is "Dear John," another song about regret, but with a vastly different tone and theme. It is clear that the singer sings about regretting even ever meeting the "John" in the song.

Stay Safe

According to reports, Lautner was interviewed regarding the upcoming release of "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)."

"I think it's a great album," the actor replied. "Yeah, I feel safe. Praying for John."

Lautner and Swift were first linked together when they were filming the movie "Valentine's Day" in 2009.

The pair were often referred to as fans as "Taylor Squared," because they shared the same first name.

There is not a lot of information as to why they broke up, but Swift clearly insists in her song that she was the reason behind the split.

"Because the last time you saw me/ Is still burned in the back of your mind/ You gave me roses and I left them there to die."

"And then the cold came, the dark days/ When fear crept into my mind/ You gave me all your love and all I gave you was goodbye."

Prayers for Mayer

Unlike her relationship with Lautner, the "Cruel Summer" singer's relationship with Mayer was a trainwreck to say the least.

According to reports, the pair briefly dated between 2009 and 2010, when she was 19 and he was 32.

As per her song "Dea John," the relationship was toxic and problematic: "You paint me a blue sky and go back and turn it to rain/ And I lived in your chess game/ But you changed the rules every day/ Wondering which version of you I might get on the phone/ Tonight, well I stopped picking up, and this song is to let you know why."

Aside from this song, Swift also allegedly release another song about the singer in her most recent album called "Would've, Could've, Should've."
