Selena Gomez is thriving in all aspects of her career as she's about to have two TV shows in the months to come; is she going to focus on her television path instead of creating more music for fans?
According to Variety, the musician is slated to have new series focused on her cooking skills. The Food Network reportedly ordered two shows, the first one being a "celebration-focused" series that will be released in late 2023.
The second one will be released the following year, which will see the pop star going through different kitchens owned by chefs.

The show, which is yet to be titled, was described as Gomez "meeting up with some of the best chefs in the country in a quest to cook their most popular dishes when she visits their kitchens."
Although the "Come and Get It" hitmaker has a cooking series called "Selena + Chef" on HBO Max, the two new shows are reportedly not related to her current project according to an insider.
As of this writing, there are no further details regarding the release date and special guests of the said shows.

Selena Gomez New Music 2023
The musician is busy with her television career because aside from the two upcoming shows mentioned above, the third season of "Only Murders in the Building" will also come out this year.
Fans have been waiting for the singer to release new music as it's been three years since she dropped "Rare."
Despite her schedule being packed and busy, it appears that the singer will not leave the music industry as she previously told Jimmy Fallon in December 2022 that she was working on her album.
Explaining what she did over the past few months prior to the interview, Gomez said she wrapped up filming the fourth season of "Selena + Chef" and she was in Los Angeles at the time to work on music.

Selena Gomez New Album: What Would it Sound Like?
For fans who are curious what the record would sound like, the pop star told Vanity Fair that the music she's currently writing is about "real things that I'm walking through. It's really powerful, strong, very pop. The theme generally is freedom-freedom from relationships, freedom from the darkness."
It appears that the new album would be a bop as she also confirmed to Variety that fans would be "so happy" when they hear the new record as people can dance to it.
As of this writing, Selena Gomez has yet to reveal the official release date and tracklist of her upcoming album.
