Just a few hours ago I was writing a story about Justin Bieber singing a Johnny Cash song, and was delighted that it had nothing to do with him getting into a scuffle or being sued. That delight was short-lived, however, as Bieber is now under investigation for (drum roll) attempted robbery, according to TMZ.

While at a Hollywood Dave & Buster's last night, Aug. 25, with Selena Gomez (because the two are apparently dating again), a fan started taking pictures of Bieber with his phone. As the whole Hawaii cliff jumping incident proved, Justin Bieber does not like having his picture taken, and allegedly attempted to take the fan's phone, though he was held back by his security and never actually touched the fan. Though the police were called, Bieber and his crew left before they showed up.

The photo-taking fan, who has not been identified by name, is now considering pressing charges against Bieber, including attempted theft, attempted robbery (I had no idea that those were two different things), and even attempted battery. If charges are in fact brought against Bieber, he could find himself in some serious trouble, as he is currently on probation for egging his neighbor's house back in January.

This incident is just the latest in a seemingly endless string of legal trouble for the pop star. As I referenced earlier, Bieber and his bodyguard Dwayne Patterson are being sued for assault and battery, negligence, and emotional distress by photographer Aja Oxman, who was allegedly physically beaten by Patterson after taking pictures of Bieber cliff jumping in Hawaii.
