Over the weekend, Olivia Rodrigo celebrated the second anniversary of her highly-successful debut album "Sour" and many fans have been wondering when the follow-up record would be released.

The breakout pop star of 2021 has finally revealed a few details about the project and it appears that supporters might get it very soon.

Taking to her newsletter for fans, also known as Livies, the musician shared a handwritten note with stickers and doodles, seemingly mimicking the aesthetics of her first record.

Rodrigo then teased fans about her next project, saying that the "new stuff" is very close to being done and she "pinky promise."

As of this writing, the Disney star has not revealed the official release date, title, and tracklist of her next project.

This isn't the first time the pop singer teased fans about new music as she took to her social media accounts earlier this year to reveal that she had been working with Dan Nigro.

"Working on so many new songs," she wrote, adding that she's excited to share it with fans.

Olivia Rodrigo Success

Since her debut in 2021, Olivia Rodrigo has been one of the biggest musicians of her generation.

Just a week after releasing her first single "Drivers License," it received positive reviews from critics and even broke Spotify's record twice for having the most daily streams for a song not related to the holidays.

Three days after the song was dropped, it immediately amassed a whopping 17 million global streams. Then within seven days, it already got 80 million streams.

After releasing her debut album "Sour," Rodrigo went on to snag three Grammy Awards nominations and she ended up winning three of them.
