After announcing their divorce, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian began to date around and got into new relationships.

The rapper surprised the world when he attended a fashion event next to actress Julia Fox, while the reality star began hanging out with "Saturday Night Live" alum, Pete Davidson.

Perhaps West thought it was too early for Kardashian to actually start dating because when the news broke out, the "Gold Digger" rapper lashed out on social media and called Davidson several names, and insulted him publicly.

No one knew how Kardashian or Davidson felt about the insults, but several months after their eventual breakup, the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star finally revealed what led to the split.

Breakup

According to reports, the 42-year-old expressed how Davidson, while she did not explicitly name him, was a good change for her.

"We just had talks and talks, we had been talking about it," Kardashian said. "So it was both of us just communicating really well about it. It's obviously sad."

She and Davidson dated for nine months before calling it quits, and while it was definitely an odd pairing for some, the reality star enjoyed her time with the comedian and vice versa.

This is probably why the breakup was tough, especially since someone was rooting for it to happen from the get-go: her ex.

"There was a lot of guilt," Kardashian added. "He went through a lot because of my relationship."

The Kids

The reality star went on to explain how she prioritized the children she shares with West- North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm- over any other relationship.

She also revealed how she is protecting them from the harmful comments the media and West have hurled her way, like her leaked sex tape from several years back.

"He looks so down on me for my [sex] tape and like brings it up all over town," Kardashian continued. "All over the media. Thanks for reminding people once again. All of his shenanigans is going to be far more damaging to the kids one day than my tape will ever be.

"And I have to sit here and not say anything ever because I know one day my kids will appreciate that and I know that's the best thing for them."

It seems like West is bent on tormenting his ex and children-as well as the rest of the world-with his unhinged comments despite the consequences.
