In a Variety feature last year, Clarkson expressed wanting to pursue theatre.

"I have different dreams I've had since I was a kid. I don't know how it's all going to pan out. I could do the show for years if we're lucky enough to have the legacy that these other people have," Clarkson told the publication. "But at the same time, that doesn't mean I can't do Broadway in a summer. That doesn't mean I can't have that gypsy mentality and change it up."

With her relocating to New York along with her show, Clarkson won't be pulling that much effort traveling from the West to the East just to make her childhood dream come true.

Ever since it was announced that she would be moving to New York, fan theories have come about on social media, with insiders suggesting it was also a move to make those dreams come true.

Speaking to O'Dell, here's what Kelly had to say:

"I'm in love with theater and Broadway and all of that. And I never thought I'd get a chance to do anything like that," she said in the interview. Eventually, I would love to do something. I'm in the works of like writing something right now. Like I am working on something. For Broadway."

For Clarkson, she loved the element of Broadway, although she pointed out that she doesn't like acting but her love for the stage emanates as that was her childhood.

'The Kelly Clarkson Show' Moving to New York

Variety also exclusively revealed that "The Kelly Clarkson Show" will be moving from the NBC lot in Los Angeles to the Rockefeller Plaza in New York.

The production moved to the state following Gov. Kathy Hochul's Film and TV Tax credit expansion which incentivizes productions to move to New York for tax credits.

Meanwhile, the show's production has been riddled with controversy after a Rolling Stone expose of a few old and existing production staff of the show.
