Ike Turner Jr., adopted by the legendary singer and performer Tina Turner, said that when his stepmom received a second opportunity to love in marriage with Erwin Bach, she left behind her family here in America.

He divulged years before her passing at age 83 in Küsnacht, Switzerland, last Wednesday that "she raised me from two years old - she's the only mother I've ever known."

At 18, upon the birth of her son Craig with Raymond Hill, a former member of Ike Turner's Kings of Rhythm Band, life changed forever for young mother Tina.

She became stepmother to Ike's two sons, Ike Jr. and Michael when she married their father in 1962 in Tijuana, Mexico.

Two years beforehand, in 1960 had seen the birth of their son together - Ronnie.

In 2018, Ike Jr. recounted to Daily Mail that he and his siblings had not been in contact with their mother for quite some time. "It's been a while - likely since 2000," he said. "My mom is living a different life now; she has a new partner and is currently located in Europe."

Once her marriage to Ike ended in 1976, Tina wanted to leave her past behind.

Her son, Ike Jr., conveyed that while growing up, his parents were absent for 11 months out of the year, and as a result, they relied on housekeepers to take care of them.

Ike Jr. revealed to the outlet that after Tina and her partner split, his father wanted him to stay away from her and physically attacked him with a .45 pistol.

Although their relationship had its challenging moments, Ike Jr. still wished for people to remember his late father as a musician who faced many life challenges like most others.

When he passed in December 2007, it was evident that Ika Jr. wished Tina would have let go of her anger towards his father before his death from a cocaine overdose.

However, Tina found peace and reignited her passion for life while with Bach, as documented in her 2018 book, "My Love Story."

Sadly, the legendary Queen of Rock 'n' Roll has passed away this week after enduring a long-term health struggle.

Tragically, two of Tina's children passed away in the last two years.

Last year, her 62-year-old daughter, Ronalda, died from colon cancer; and in 2018, her son Craig perished in an apparent suicide at 59.

Despite her sorrow after their loss, Tina found solace in remembering how happy they were on Earth.
