Tina Turner's death at age 83 was verified this week, and hundreds of artists and musicians took to social networks to express their sorrow.

Demi Lovato was among them. However, theirs sparked controversy.

Demi Lovato wrote "RIP Tina" in the Instagram story they uploaded, which elicited mixed reactions from Tina's admirers because one of Lovato's nipples were showing and many interpreted it as a deliberate thirst trap. This naturally sparked retweets with anger remarks. 

Good thing there was an outpour of tributes that simply highlighted the amazing life and contributions of Tina Turner. 

Even royalty acknowledges that Tina Turner was "The Best."

King Charles paid tribute to the 83-year-old rock 'n' roll icon, who died on Tuesday, by having the Band of the Welsh Guards perform her 1989 hit outside Buckingham Palace during the changing of the guard on Friday in London. Forces News shared a video clip of the unexpected tribute in a tweet.

 

The daily 45-minute ceremony entails the King's Guard handing over responsibility for the protection of Buckingham and St. James's Palaces to the New Guard. The First Battalion Welsh Guards Corps of Drums accompanied the Welsh Guards.

Prince William, Charles' oldest son, has a special connection to the song by Turner, which peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

In 2021, the Princes of Wales recalled how his mother, Princess Diana, would play music for William and Prince Harry "to kind of while away the anxiety of going back to (boarding) school and Tina Turner's would be one of them. 

Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, the granddaughter of Princess Grace of Monaco and the daughter of Prince Albert, presented Turner, dubbed the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll and a two-time inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, with a tribute on Friday.

On the opening night of the F1 Monaco Grand Prix weekend, Grimaldi, a singer and actress who has appeared in the film "Cicada" and the television series "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," uploaded a video to her verified Instagram account showing herself performing "Proud Mary" aboard a yacht.
