The long wait is over as Dogstar, the band featuring Keanu Reeves, recently reunited on stage for their first public performance in over 20 years.

According to Rolling Stone, the three-member group took the stage of the BottleRock Napa Valley Festival in California where they performed some of their classic hits as well as new ones.

Some of the tracks that made it onto their setlist were from their albums "Our Little Visionary" released in 1996 and "Happy Ending" in 2000.

In addition, they also played the tracks "Flowers," "Breach," and "Glimmer," which are said to be songs from their yet-to-be-tiled third album. In total, the group performed over 12 songs.

As of this writing, the band has yet to reveal more information about their upcoming record, but it is suggested that the project is still in the works.

The recent festival appearance marks Dogstar's first public show since 2002.

Keanu Reeves Missed Playing With Dogstar Bandmates

Ahead of the group's performance at the Napa Valley show, Keanu Reeves spoke with Billboard to express his true feelings over the reunion.

"I missed playing together, I missed writing together, I missed doing shows together. It's something I've always missed," he told the outlet.

The actor/musician later said he and his bandmates came to the point where they were not playing any songs together anymore and he missed doing it with his pal.

When they finally got the chance to reunite with each other to play, the "John Wick" actor said it felt "good, and really positive and creative," leading him to say, "Okay, let's make this happen."

Dogstar History

In early reports, Dogstar was formed in the most random way. It all began when "Seinfeld" actor Robert Mailhouse, who happens to be a musician, was shopping at a supermarket in the early 90s.

Keanu Reeves later walked up to him and he noticed that the actor was wearing a Detroit Red Wings hockey sweater because he's also a fan.

Their friendship kicked off and the pair explored a lot of things until they found out their love for music, leading them to jam with each other.

Gregg Miller, the guitarist, later joined them. Dogstar then started writing music in a garage.

The trio went on to become successful musicians and even toured with Bon Jovi and once played a set for David Bowie as an opening act.

Dogstar disbanded after playing for more than a decade due to Reeves' hectic schedule in the Hollywood industry.
