Johnny Depp, a member of his own touring band Hollywood Vampire, sustained an ankle injury that disables him to continue touring efforts in the coming weeks.

This puts a pause on the ongoing tour of Hollywood Vampire, dampening their supposed performance in Manchester in New Hampshire, Boston in Massachusetts, and Bethel in New York.

Hollywood Vampire Announcement

In an Instagram post shared on the group's official page, they announced that the "Pirates of the Carribean" actor has sustained a painful ankle injury following his recent appearances. He was then advised by his medical team to refrain from travelling from that point.

Notably, Depp has enjoyed Cannes as he premiered his new movie, "Jeanne du Barry," at the prestigious festival. That marked the official film comeback of them, who is still the subject of fans' rage after the controversial lawsuit between him and his ex-wife Amber Heard. The Daily Mail reported that Depp earned a 7-minute standing ovation from the crowd following the premiere.

Because of this predicament, the rock group was left with no choice but to postpone some of their shows within the tour.

Hollywood Vampire Postponed Tour Dates

According to the post, the Hollywood Vampire postponed 2023 tour dates will be rescheduled to July 28 at the Wang Theatre Boch Center in Boston, Massachusetts, July 29 in Manchester, New Hampshire at the SNHU Arena, and July 30 in Bethel, New York, at the Bethel Woods Center For The Arts.

The release also says that Depp was "devastated" because of the turn of events. However, he looks forward to resting up so all of them could continue giving their best to the Europe tour.

Johnny Depp Boycotted By Hollywood?

Meanwhile, Depp chalked up criticisms that he was "boycotted" by Hollywood. Following the controversial trial, he had with ex-wife Amber Heard, Depp has been riddled with rage from feminist groups and people in general, especially in social media.

For him, he doesn't feel "boycotted" because he doesn't think about Hollywood at all.

"It's a strange, funny time where everybody would love to be able to be themselves, but they can't. They must fall in line with the person in front of them. If you want to live that life, I wish you the best," he continued.
