Skrillex's set at the Primavera Sound 2023 was paused following a sudden technical issue.

On Friday, the American DJ - whose real name is Sonny John Moore - met fans at the Barcelona event to perform his hit music in front of his fans. However, the set hit a glitch when a technical issue arose.

Pitchfork cited the confirmation from the festival's representatives revealing that one of the lights on the stage developed a small fire, leading Skrillex to pause his number. Official sources assured that no one was injured when the fire broke.

An employee soon revealed through the public address system that the incident happened due to a technical error, Stereogum said.

A fan-taken video has since gone viral, showing a small fire from an elevated lighting rig was put out using a handheld extinguisher after the crew lowered the stage design. Skrillex, fortunately, was able to resume his performance after 10 minutes.
