This is not a drill! Nicki Minaj finally announced the official release date of her highly-anticipated fifth studio album; when is it coming out?

Taking to her official Twitter account, the queen of rap shocked fans when she suddenly revealed when her new album comes out.

"10/20/23 The Album," the female rapper wrote along with a CD and ribbon emoji.

As of this writing, there are no further details about the upcoming record. The "Red Ruby Da Sleeze" hitmaker has not revealed its title, collaborators, producers, and more.

However, Ice Spice, with whom she recently collaborated for the song "Princess Diana," commented an emoji, prompting fans to speculate about a possible team-up again.

After the tweet went viral just minutes after posting, many fans immediately took to its reply section to share their genuine reactions.

"DONT PLAY WITH MY EMOTIONS RIGHT NOW MA'AM," one wrote.

It's been five long years since Nicki Minaj released her last album "Queen." This isn't the first time the "Come See About Me" hitmaker teased fans about new music.

Early last month, the musician, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj, shared a poll on Twitter asking fans what they wanted from her this year.

There were four choices: the new album, a world tour starting in the United States, both and more surprises, or both with a meet and greet.

The "Both + more surprises" ultimately won the poll.

It's still unsure what Nicki Minaj has in store for her fans as there are still no details regarding the upcoming album and Barbz have to be patient in the weeks to come.

The last time the rapper spoke about her new album was in an interview with i-D late last year, saying, "the album will be out soon."

She also spoke on her Queen Radio show, hinting that there are many big things coming in the next three years.

"2023 is the year of the Barbz, 2024 is the year of the Barbz, and 2025 is the year of the Barbz," she said.
