Halsey first released "Lilith" as a part of her fourth studio album "If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power."

But now that she, along with BTS' Suga, was tapped to make an anthem for "Diablo IV," she thought that it was probably time to breathe new life into the song.

According to reports, this collab has been highly anticipated by both Halsey and BTS fans, and they did not disappoint-even the music video is iconic.

"I'm thrilled that I got to collab with SUGA of BTS on a reimagined version of "Lilith" for the Diablo IV anthem!" Halsey said in a press release. "Having spent countless hours in Sanctuary with my family, I'm here as both a fan and a collaborator

"Plus, I've always wanted to do a concept with SUGA with this type of dark mythology. Hopefully, fans of Diablo, SUGA, and myself will love Lilith's embrace."

Dark Mythology

The video, directed by Henry Hobson, begins with Halsey walking into a dark chapel or church-with paintings staring right back at her as she enters a dark cloud.

Apparently, the music video was filmed in various different locations, including the Chapelle des Jésuites (Jesuits' Chapel) in Cambrai, France.

Despite "Lilith" being released in August 2021, Halsey knew that the song was meant for its own moment to shine, and the release of "Diablo IV" was the perfect time for the song to be celebrated.

"As soon as Diablo 4 was announced, I knew I wanted to be a part of the lead-up and launch," the singer explained. "Lilith is such an influence on my own art and has informed so many characteristics of my alter-ego."

The general manager of Diablo, Rod Fergusson, also talked about the exciting prospect of working with some of the music industry's most talented stars.

"It's so exciting to collaborate with a talented artist who has loved Diablo for years, and we can't wait to continue working with Halsey to support the launch of Diablo 4."

Constant Collaborators

It was no surprise, however, that Halsey brought in Suga for the bridge of the song. After all, the pair have had a very long history together as both friends and frequent collaborators.

The first time Halsey worked with the KPOP idol was back in 2019 for BTS' release "Boy With Luv."

Since then, Halsey and the KPOP superstar group have been inseparable and they make an iconic team.
