"Hamilton" and "Camelot" broadway performances, as well as Chris Stapleton's outdoor concert have been postponed due to the Canadian wildfire smoke that reached the country.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau addressed the intense wildfires that recently caused New York City's air quality index to peak above 200. The level of air pollution is considered very unhealthy, that people need to wear masks, CNN reported.

Due to the issues, several shows canceled their runs to ensure people's safety.

"Tonight's performance of Hamilton will not go on as scheduled. The hazardous air quality in New York City has made it impossible for a number of our artists to perform this evening," the official social media accounts of "Hamilton" read. "We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage you to visit your point of purchase for refund or exchange."

Meanwhile, "Camelot" producers also confirmed that the audience could have refunds at the point of purchase, adding how hopeful they are to restart performances over the weekend.

The free Shakespeare in the Park production of "Hamlet" on Thursday and Friday at Central Park's Delacorte Theater has also been postponed, per Billboard.

Chris Stapleton Skips New York Concert

The Canadian wildfire smoke also led to the cancelation of Chris Stapleton's New York concert, his Twitter page confirmed. The country crooner had been gearing up ahead of his show at St. Joseph's Health Amphitheater at Lakeview show.

Stapleton assured fans he would reschedule the show, saying that they expect to release a new update on June 9.

The WNBA game between Minnesota Lynx and New York Liberty has also been postponed as well as the New York Yankees game vs. the Chicago White Sox's Wednesday game.

According to the National Weather Service, the hazardous air quality is expected to persist through Thursday across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic before it shifts on Friday into Ohio Valley. The phenomenon, per IQAir.com, made New York City as the place with the worst air quality in the world due to the 400 wildfires burning across Canada.
