The public remains curious about what led Craig Jones to lead Slipknot amid the band's new journey with the reported new member and replacement.

Slipknot announced in a since-deleted post on its social channels that its sampler and keyboardist parted ways with the group after 27 years. The statement did not provide any other detail and only included the band's wish for Jones after his exit.

Slipknot Loses Fans After Craig Jones' Exit?

Jones and Slipknot both remain silent since the confirmation of the keyboardist's exit, but fans flocked to Reddit under the thread titled, "A possible explanation on why Craig left."

The post, which has over 1,000 votes and nearly 300 comments as of press time, features a screenshot of a comment from Slipknot guitarist Mick Thompson's wife, Stacy Riley. She responded to a commenter who seemingly took her "positive vibes" post differently, as she told the individual that it was for everyone.

Riley noted that Slipknot members are human beings who deserve to have privacy since some things "are far too deep, painful, and intricate."

Another responded to her post in which the fan declared that they lost respect and trust in Slipknot after following the band for decades. Thompson's wife, meanwhile, expressed how unfortunate it was to see such fans jump to the conclusion and leave something they loved for years suddenly.

Why Did Craig Jones Leave Slipknot?

The Reddit user who shared the thread, @puruiin, called out people who have been bombarding Riley with questions regarding the real reason why Jones left the band. The user said they believe the keyboardist left because he wanted to and shared the potential reasons behind his decision.

According to the caption, Jones might have left due to "personal life problems," dismissing the rumors that he was kicked out like what happened to Joey Jordison and Chris Fehn. Some Redditors assumed that he might also be facing some health problems, but this should be taken with a grain of salt, still.

"Craig is a secretive person and he doesn't owe any further explanation to us at all. He's never talked in Slipknot, why would he talk now?" the post went on. "I think it's best we move on with the new member and stop being overdramatic, saying Slipknot is dying."

Slipknot's new member, though remains unidentified, joined the band's recent shows immediately after Jones' exit. The group also released a mysterious photo of the new member wearing a uniquely-designed mask to complement with the other members' covers.
