Due to his on-again, off-again relationship with his ex-wife Kim Scott, the famous rapper Slim Shady, aka Marshall Mathers (better known as simply Eminem), is hesitant about love.
Before he was well-known and could boast a hefty bank account balance, he and Kim were just two needy people in a relationship.
Eminem and Kim first crossed paths in high school, beginning a volatile love affair in 1989.
After enduring numerous ups and downs, they eventually tied the knot in 1999 and welcomed their daughter Hailie into this world six years later.
The relationship between these two was turbulent at best.
They were married in 2001 and reconciled and tied the knot again in 2006. However, after only three months of reuniting as husband and wife, he filed for divorce.
Since his last marriage to Kim ended, Eminem hasn't been willing to try the institution of matrimony again.
Though the pair have had their share of problems in the past, a friend close to the situation revealed to Radar Online that no matter what, the mother of his child will always remain important to him.
This is because he is very skeptical about a female's intentions regarding wanting to be with him.
Long ago, Kim opened up about her second marriage to the "Lose Yourself" rapper shortly after he filed for divorce.

During the interview with a Detroit morning show, she reflected on her high hopes for their marriage to be successful.
"I thought it was really going to be something that worked this time," she admitted.
Kim revealed, "Divorce is not something that's on the top of my list right now. The scenario in my head was that he'd walk through the door and announce 'We're going to counseling together.' Unfortunately, that didn't happen - instead there was a lawyer at our front door."
In the wake of the announcement of their divorce, a representative for Eminem released this statement: "Regrettably, I must ask that my family's privacy be respected concerning matters of my marriage and its termination. Therefore, I have decided to keep these details private."
The publicist clarified that Kim was conscious of Eminem filing for divorce. Despite both parties making a concerted effort to revive the marriage, they reportedly soon realized that their union wouldn't be salvaged by simply renewing our vows.
