Yay, democracy is working! Electronic music fans who planned on attending the TomorrowWorld festival in Atlanta were peeved to find out that organizers had banned Camelbak brand water packs from being brought onto festival grounds. After a healthy protest from future attendees, Dancing Astronaut reports the festival has reversed its position however.

Camelbak bans have been instated recently as security realize that they can be a handy tool for transporting contraband onto festival grounds. On the other hand, the majority of Camelbak users are honestly using it as the best method of carrying a large amount of water around for festivals that can become dehydration danger zones rather quickly. The product was originally developed for hikers but has become so popular at music festivals that the Camelbak company has taken to setting up booths and selling them at events such as Lollapalooza.

The first controversial ban of the backpacks was announced for Electric Zoo in New York, another electronic music festival. Although both TomorrowWorld and Electric Zoo are run by SFX Entertainment, it's unlikely that the latter festival will change its policy considering that the event begins tomorrow afternoon. At the very least, hopefully the kickback received from TomorrowWorld fans will be enough to stymie further bans in the future.

TomorrowWorld will go down between September 26-28, featuring headlining sets from Avicii, Skrillex, David Guetta and more.
