Morgan Wallen was celebrating the success "Last Night" achieved on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart when tragedy struck him and his family.

According to reports, the "The Voice USA" contestant went on social media alongside his ex-fiancee KT Smith to break the news that their 2-year-old son was attacked by a dog.

"Yesterday, he bit Indigo in the face and [Indigo] had to have stitches ... we spent yesterday morning at the emergency room," Smith shared solemnly.

The dog in question is Smith's own pet, a Great Pyrenees named Legend. The social media star adopted the dog last year.

"Since then, we have been looking for options and I just couldn't bring myself to what everyone else says and what you're supposed to do, apparently ... what the world tells you to do is to put the dog down because they are aggressive," Smith tearfully continued.

Morgan Wallen's Son

As of this writing, the country music star has not discussed any details as to why the dog bit his son or any updates regarding his health.

Although Smith admitted that it might have something to do with Legend's past home and family; she added that the dog experienced trauma before he was eventually adopted.

Wallen has kept relatively silent regarding the whole ordeal, with Smith taking the lead in the situation.

After their sad announcement, fans suggested that Legend be euthanized, however Smith refused to do so.

In a follow up Instagram Story, she shared that they ultimately decided to give Legend away instead.

"We just dropped legend off with the sweetest family where he will be living out his full potential and best life on a farm," Smith explained.

"I couldn't have asked for a better family for him to be loved on by, and they're East Tennesseans, so we can visit any time we need to."

Morgan Wallen's Personal Life, Career

According to reports, despite his flourishing music career, Wallen is no stranger to some problems in his personal life.

The country music singer was heavily criticized just days after his son's birth in 2020 when he was caught on camera using a racial slur.

Other controversies include having a dependency on alcohol, which was later addressed by his entering a rehabilitation center.

While he and Smith have broken up, they decided to co-parent their son. "I just hope to give him as sound advice as my parents gave me and show him love and let him know that I'm here for him and that I'm his friend," Wallen said.

"I'm here to help, and I'm here to guide. I'm just gonna do the best I can."
