Kelly Clarkson revealed the aftermath of what happened after she suggested Taylor Swift rerecord all first six albums during the latter's 2019 legal battle against Scooter Braun and Big Machine Record over her music.

In an interview with Andy Cohen for SiriusXM Town Hall, the singer slash host said, "I knew it was important to her, so I thought, 'Why don't you just re-record them? Your fans will support you.'"

"Literally, she's a genius. Not only did she re-record it, she planned this Eras Tour - like, this woman is brilliant."

Swift eventually began rerecording all of her previous album releases with her former label, and so far she has released "Fearless (Taylor's Version)" and "Red (Taylor's Version)."

The "Love Story" singer is gearing up to release the next rerecorded album, "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)," which is expected to drop on July 7.

Kelly Clarkson, Scooter Braun Beef

According to reports, Clarkson revealed that Braun did not appreciate the singer's suggestion to Swift, which affected the sales of the albums he had just, at the time, bought from Big Machine Records.

"Scooter took offense to it ... we ran into each other, and he reached out at the time to my manager. I was like, 'It wasn't anything against him,'" the "Since U Been Gone" singer admitted.

"He called my manager at the time I heard, and I think he thought I was attacking him. I was like, 'I honest to God didn't even realize who had the right.' I didn't even know all the information."

Did Taylor Swift Thank Kelly Clarkson?

Clarkson was referring to her 2019 tweet in which she suggested the "Anti-Hero" singer rerecord her music, adding that she would purchase all the new versions "just to prove a point."

"All I heard was, 'Man, I really want to own,' and I was like, 'Man, that song.' She writes everything! It's so important to her. She's a businesswoman. It felt wrong that she didn't have the opportunity. Right?"

Despite her tweet, suggesting the rerecording, Clarkson added that she has no idea whether Swift had already planned to record all her albums again, or if she was really the one who brought the idea to the singer.

The "Stronger" singer did not, however, reveal if Swift has since then reached out to her to thank her for the suggestion.
