Rina Sawayama appeared to take a jab at her Dirty Hit Records labelmate, Matty Healy of The 1975, during her performance at Glastonbury Festival on Saturday.

The multi-talented 32-year-old artist, known for her chameleon-like approach to music, performed a song entitled "STFU!" without giving away any clues about who it may be about.

According to The Guardian, Rina said, "I wrote this next song because I was sick and tired of microaggressions."

"So, tonight, this song goes out to a white man who watches [pornography series] Ghetto Gaggers and mocks Asian people on a podcast. He also owns my masters. I've had enough."

Last month, Matty was featured on "The Adam Friedland Show," where he chuckled while the presenters mocked Ice Spice and her accent, which they misguidedly assumed to be from China, Hawaii, or even the Arctic region.

During his segment, the 1975 front man admitted to seeing the racially charged pornographic films Rina had mentioned, remarking that such content was "brutal" to women.

Rina is currently signed with Dirty Hit, the record label Jamie Oborne, manager of The 1975, created. From December 2018 until April 2023, Matty even had a directorship role within the organization.

The moment that captured the attention of many on Twitter was when Rina Sawayama began performing with a newfound enthusiasm on the Glastonbury stage while calling out Taylor Swift's rumored ex-boyfriend.

Crowds cheered as she asserted herself, and one viewer re-shared the footage with the comment on Twitter, "RINA SAWAYAMA CALLING OUT MATTY HEALY LET'S GOO."

Fans were overjoyed to witness her standing up for what she believed was right.

The actions of Rina were highly praised on Twitter, with one fan writing, "I'm so proud of her," and another tweeting, "This f-----g queen."

However, some questioned why she had waited so long to speak out against the man in question, as it was known she had been aware of his comments for a few months.

One tweet read, "I don't understand why she waited so long to call him out."

Another individual expressed that Rina Sawayama is a model of immense courage, far exceeding any outlets or people who have refused to recognize her work.

When news emerged that Matty Healy was taking advantage of Rina's music, a commenter said they would begin listening to her songs so Rina could make profit as well.
