Kelly Clarkson shared her heartbreak years after calling it quits with Brandon Blackstock.

The estranged couple, who shares two children River Rose and Remington Alexander together, broke up seven years after their marriage in 2013. Clarkson and Blackstock processed their divorce afterward and finalized it last year.

The singer created her recently-released album, "Chemistry," based on the heartbreak she went though. But she spoke more about how tragic the event was in a new interview.

Kelly Clarkson Took Antidepressants To Get Through Brandon Blackstock's Divorce

Clarkson unveiled her story during her appearance on the "Las Culturistas" podcast Wednesday in which she also admitted to using antidepressants to make it through their messy divorce.

The 41-year-old "My Life Would Suck Without You" said she consulted her therapist due to her non-stop crying that already affected her daily life and career. She recalled realizing to put her pride and other issues aside to deal with the heartbreak.

"I was on Lexapro for, like, I think, two months," she said of the antidepressants she took. "My thing was, I just can't smile anymore for America right now. I'm not happy, and I need help ... and it was honest to God, the greatest decision ever."

She admitted that she would not have made it, but the antidepressants reportedly saved her in the end.

Clarkson's recent statement came after she opened up to Apple Music's Zane Lowe earlier this month about how she was not able to handle their divorce well. She also revealed in the podcast, via OK Magazine, that she could not speak because she was crying so hard because of the divorce which was worsened by her unhealthy habits.

Kelly Clarkson Tried Hypnosis, Per Sources

Aside from antidepressants, Clarkson reportedly started undergoing a healing journey, as well, which would involve hypnosis.

The unnamed source told Radar Online that the "Because of You" singer signed up for six sessions as she believed it could help her become the best version of herself again for herself and her kids. They added Clarkson decided to take it since she still experienced trauma due to the marriage and divorce she went through.

Clarkson and Blackstock ended their two-year divorce process in 2022 after filing it in 2020. The ruling led her to pay her ex-husband over $1.3 million and 115,000 in spousal support. She also needs to provide $45,601 in child support on a monthly basis until their children reach 18 years old or finish high school.
