Young Thug is by far one of the most controversial rappers in the past year as he was incarcerated for allegedly conspiring to violate the RICO act of Atlanta, Georgia, among many other felony charges.

While he is awaiting trial, Thugger had been busy, he was conjuring up enough courage and hardwork to release his new album, "Business is Business."

Young Thug 'Business Is Business'

Packing star-studded collaborations from Drake, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Future, 21 Savage, Metro Boomin', the late Juice WRLD, and even Nicki Minaj, Young Thug's "Business Is Business" is by far the biggest hip hop album this year.

It is challenging for a Billboard 200 #1 debut amid the surprise release. It would be an incredible feat if Thugger would pull a clinch at the Top 1 as he is still in jail for the crimes he was accussed of.

Notably, Gunna, an associate of Young Thug who was also incarcerated along with him on May 9, 2022, released an album last week. "A Gift & A Curse" hit No. 3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

The two was speculated to have a strained relationship as he took an Alford plea deal in exchange for a commuted sentence. Gunna admitted guilt for the said crimes he was accussed of but still legally maintaining innocence.

If Young Thug would want to pull a huge lead, Billboard noted that he may have to debut at six-figures as Morgan Wallen's "One Thing At A Time" is still racking up six-figure units. Also, if Young Thug would debut at No. 1, "Business is Business" will be the first hip hop album to debut at the summit of the coveted genre-blending albums chart.

Who Will Young Thug Have to Beat?

As per Billboard, he may have to outperform Peso Pluma and Kelly Clarkson. Pluma released his album, "Génesis" last week and has been one of the biggest Latin artists in the past few months.

Meanwhile, Kelly Clarkson, despite not having a strong force of streaming backing her up, can bank on physical album sales.

Kim Petras "Feed The Beast" might also challenge Young Thug should it debut within the Top 5. The Grammy-winning rapper-singer has had hits like "Alone" and "Unholy" supporting the newly-released album.
