Iggy Azalea and Ariana Grande may have slayed the summer with their collaborative hit "Problem" from Grande's second studio effort My Everything, but the world could have had that sizzling, sexy hit a little earlier... In a new interview, Azalea reveals that Grande reached out to her for a collaboration on her debut album Yours Truly, but she rejected the offer, thinking Grande was far too childish.

"Ariana reached out to me for her first album, and I didn't do it even though I thought she was amazing because I thought she was much younger than what she is. When I realized she was so close to my age, I was like, 'Wait you're an adult!'" she said to GRAMMY.com.

(Grande is 21, Azalea is 24.)

Azalea cites Grande's children TV show beginnings (accidentally calling her a Disney star, when her show Sam & Cat was on Nickelodeon) as a reason for the musical misunderstanding.

"I felt like my music was kind of so risqué and she had a Disney show. I didn't feel like it was appropriate, and then I actually met her and I found out she's a grown up. I was like, 'OK,' and we did a song together," Azalea said while giggling.

And, then the world got "Problem," which also features a musical cameo from grown up/rapper Big Sean.

Azalea didn't just discuss Grande in her interview with GRAMMY.com. The "Black Widow" rapper also touched on her "Booty" remix with Jennifer Lopez and her first major musical memory (headbanging to Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love").
