Peter Kowalsky, popularly known as a vocalist to several hardcore and metalcore groups such as Ether Coven, xBISHOPx, Until the End, Remembering Never, and more, has passed away; what was his cause of death?

According to Loudwire, the musician is known to his fans for his alias "Mean Pete." The musician previously took to Remembering Never's social media account in 2021 to share that he finally beat colon cancer at the time.

In the statement, Kowalsky explained that he stopped getting chemo treatment in October 2020 and ever since, he had been getting bloodwork and scans to ensure his recovery.

Fortunately, all signs of cancer came back negative and his life slowly came back to normal.

"After my second surgery and treatment and I'm stronger than I was before cancer. Every day I wake up and appreciate life so much differently now but there is always the black cloud of fear that the cancer may return," he wrote in the post.

Peter Kowalsky Cause of Death

In a recent post by Vadim Taver on the Furnace Fest Community group on Facebook, it appears that the musician's cancer came back which was the cause of his death.

"Peter Kovalsky passed away today from an aggressive cancer that had returned," he wrote.

Taver then recalled the first time meeting his good pal in the early 2000s and they have played countless shows ever since.

Although they didn't speak with each other on a daily basis, he still consider him as a good friend throughout the years.

"I got to see him last year because of Furnace Fest, but didn't think that would be our last meeting. Rest easy, old friend," he concluded.

In August 2022, Peter Kowalsky did a feature with Lambgoat to discuss his favorite music and how it helped him through his life.

In the article, the singer shared that he had been obsessed with music since he was a kid and he has more CDs than he cares to admit.

The reason why he was drawn to music was because he felt like it heals a person and it's "so much more than just some strings on a guitar or keys on a piano."
