Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley, knew how much her mother hated the woman who captured her father's heart after her parents' divorce.

Even after Elvis and Priscilla split in 1973, Lisa Marie remained loyal to her parents and loved them equally that she divided her time between staying with her mother in California and her father in his Graceland mansion.

With that, it took her a long time before she accepted Linda Thompson, whom her father dated from 1972 to 1976. Despite that, she eventually shared with her the secret she had about her mother Priscilla.

Priscilla Presley Reportedly Did Not Like Linda Thompson

The revelation about Priscilla and Lisa Marie's relationship was included in Thompson's memoir, "A Little Thing Called Life: On Loving Elvis Presley, Bruce Jenner, and Songs in Between," in which she quoted what the late singer said during her 6th birthday in Las Vegas.

Lisa Marie reportedly told her how much Priscilla hated Thompson because of her relationship with the late King of Rock and Roll.

"My mommy says it's because he didn't take her anywhere when she was married to my daddy," Lisa Marie said. "But my daddy takes you everywhere. You are always with my daddy, and my mommy never got to be with my daddy. So that's why."

After hearing the comment, Thompson reportedly realized that what the child told her at that time was quite true due to her different lifestyle with Elvis compared to what he had with Priscilla.

Soon enough, Priscilla and Thompson forgot their rivalry as Elvis' ex-wife appreciated how the new woman took care of her daughter whenever she visited Graceland.

Lisa Marie Presley Called Linda Thompson After Elvis Presley's Death

Although they were not close at first, Lisa Marie developed a close relationship with Thompson, that she was the first person she contacted after Elvis' death in August 1977.

Thompson revealed in her interview with People that the then-9-year-old Lisa Marie was the one to deliver her the news via phone call.

"To me that spoke volumes of how close we were and how sure she was of my love for her daddy," she continued. "If there is any solace to be found now, it's in my knowing that Lisa Marie was sure I loved her and her daddy, without reservation and without any agenda."
