Thursday (Aug. 15) was a big day for Miley Cyrus' new album "BANGERZ." The "We Can't Stop" singer gave a Twitter Q&A regarding her new album in the afternoon, and then took to the social media platform once again to reveal the release date for her comeback album.

So, when is "BANGERZ" going to finally reach Smilers' ears? October 8.

It seems as though fans found out the official release date for the album shortly after the former Disney star. At 3:51 p.m., Cyrus told her 13 million followers that she "Just received the official release date of #BANGERZ who wants to knowwwww." After a few more teasing tweets, wherein Cyrus wanted to get her VMA Summer Song hashtag #votemiley trending again in exchange for information, Cyrus simply stated: "#BANGERS #Oct8th," followed by a series of bomb emojis. (Cyrus was presumably tweeting from her iPhone.)

The Oct. 8 release date for "BANGERZ" is a clever move on Cyrus' camp's part. She's avoiding major fall release dates from fellow pop stars Justin Timberlake ("The 20/20 Experience: 2 of 2," Sept. 27), Katy Perry ("Prism," Oct. 22) and Lady Gaga ("Artpop," Nov. 11).

It's also smart of Cyrus' camp to not wait too long after the massive summer success of her controversial comeback single "We Can't Stop."

The single has held near the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for months, peaking at No. 2. (Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" has held Cyrus off the top spot.)

Cyrus has been using the power of Twitter to reveal information about her new album. When she reached 13 million followers, she revealed the album title. Earlier on Aug. 15, Cyrus dished more information on "BANGERZ" in an #AskMiley Q&A. The album will feature Future, Nelly and Big Sean. Cyrus has also co-written on part of the album.

"BANGERZ" will be released on Oct. 8.
