Coi Leray has always been proud of her work but her recent statement was perceived by some netizens to be cocky and overconfident. Leray has been known to not mince her words when it is about her work.

Although many would say that Leray was just grateful for her accomplishments, her recent claim seemed to be very off-putting by some.

Coi Leray Claims She Is The 'Queen of Versatility'

In a recent tweet, Coi Leray was sure that she was the "Queen of Versatility." The remark came before her newest assist on Dave East's newest song, "Sex So Good."

However, netizens were quick to shut down Leray's claims, pointing out that Doja Cat is still there.

"Girllllll y'all stay giving yourselves these titles but cnt live up to it," a user shared.

"Now coi..... You acting like doja & doechii dont exist," another shared.

"the only versatility you bring is hopping on different samples," someone wrote.

Meanwhile, others seemed to agree with her being "versatile," but not as the most versatile of her generation.

"you're definitely versatile and great at it but i think doja takes the cake queen," someone commented.

"Artists like COI especially in the new generation, I can't tell if they're making songs for their fans or for social media. There's a difference. If she identifies whats working for her and the sound she's passionate with and hone on it, she can excel a lot further," a user advised.

This was not the first time Leray had been very proud of her work. She also bragged about her skills in the studio in an earlier interview with XXL Magazine.

"I feel like now we finally realized - my label, team - that no matter what, I'm amazing at this music shit," she boasted. "I was the first person that broke on TikTok, so I can't even get mad if someone says: 'You're a TikTok artist.' I know that my music is timeless and it's global."

Coi Leray 'Coi' Billboard 200 Dismal?

Despite the hype and three Billboard Hot 100 Hits, Coi Leray's sophomore album, "COI," performed poorly commercially. The album just debuted at No. 132, at the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Despite the low performance, Coi seemed to be grateful for the feat.

"Grateful to have an album on the top 200 for my first week of my album release, again," she said. "This time with 3 hits on the hot 100 ... woah. I'm super proud of myself. Bigger and better year every time. Keep streaming Coi. It's an amazing album."
