HYBE's stock price saw a 3 percent increase soon after BTS youngest member, Jungkook, marked his solo debut.

Shareholders of HYBE Corporation received an assurance from the company that its stock would not be affected while BTS members fulfill their military obligations and start their services. All seven members are expected to return to the music industry as a whole group by 2025, allowing themselves to focus on solo endeavors before their enlistments.

HYBE Corporation Sees an Increase in Stock Price Despite BTS Military Hiatus

To aid BTS' lack of promotion as a group, HYBE formulated a plan to assure its shareholders of the company's continuous success, including having a multi-label strategy to promote other groups and relying on solo releases of the members who have yet to enter the military.

HYBE hit an all-time low on Oct. 13, 2022, after it confirmed BTS' break as a group, but it regained an increase soon after Jungkook released his debut single, "Seven," on Friday.

The song, which features rapper Latto, caused the corporation's share price to bounce by 3.12 percent on Monday, raising the share price to 256,500 KRW. With that, Google Finance estimates the company's worth at around 11.02 trillion KRW, or $8.7 billion, based on current exchange rates.

Jungkook's "Seven" release added approximately $260 million to the company's market cap valuation, spiking its share price up to 56.95 percent.

The success in HYBE's finances mirrored Jungkook's feat as a soloist, as the official Spotify Charts data revealed that "Seven" already racked up $13 million in global streams on its second day and $11 million on its third day.

At the same time, Jungkook's solo endeavor recorded one of the biggest songs on the chart 24 hours after its release, ranking fifth after Adele's "Easy On Me," Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero" and "Lavender Haze," and Harry Style's "As It Was."
