Ariana Grande's dating life has been the center of attention on social media over the past week after she reportedly filed for divorce from her ex-partner, Dalton Gomez.
Amid the issue of their separation, the musician was linked to her "Wicked" co-star Ethan Slater, who starred as SpongeBob in Broadway's "The SpongeBob Musical: Live on Stage."
According to Billboard, there has been a confusion going on which lead to the wife of SpongeBob voice actor, Tom Kenny, to issue a statement and clarify that her husband is not dating the pop superstar.

The voice actor's, Jill Talley, recently commented on The Cut's Instagram post to share her thoughts about the confusion.
"[Tom Kenny] is not dating Ariana Grande. I don't know if Ethan Slater is or isn't dating Ariana Grande. However, they're both adorable and I totally ship it," she told the outlet.
Talley then shared an insight into her relationship with her husband, saying they are celebrating their 27th anniversary on the day of the interview.
Who is Ethan Slater?
Ethan Slater is an actor who previously played the lead role in the musical version of "SpongeBob Squarepants" in Broadway, not to be confused with Tom Kenny who voiced the beloved underwater sponge in the animated series by Nickelodeon.
In addition to starring as the favorite animated characted in the Broadway musical, the actor will also star in the upcoming "Wicked" movie with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. Although details behind his role are still unclear, he will reportedly play the character of Boq.
Slater appeared to be serious with his musical career as he was previously nominated for a Tony Award in 2018 but he didn't win the title. Despite not being successful in getting the major award, he was able to win outer critics circle award, theater world award, and many more.
In early reports, the actor was reportedly married to his former high school lover named Lilly Jay, they share one baby together.

Ariana Grande has been reportedly dating Ethan Slater after the news of her divorce from Dalton Gomez circulated.
Their relationship allegedly began when they started filming "Wicked" in London, United Kingdom, earlier this year.
There was also one photo that circulated which shows Grande and Slater sitting next to each other in March when they celebrated Michelle Yeoh's win at the Academy Awards.
As of this writing, the pair has yet to address the rumors circulating online.
