S Club 7 is still mourning the death of their beloved bandmate, Paul Cattermole, months after he passed away. More recently, some of the group members opened up about the moment they found out about the tragic news.

The famed pop group's members Jon Lee, Tina Barrett, Bradly McIntosh, Rachel Stevens, and Jo O'Meara recently spoke with The Sun to share their initial reactions upon finding out their bandmate's death.

O'Meara said their management called him and Lee, and they were the first ones to know.

"It was about half past nine on the Thursday night. I think I just went completely silent at first. It was awful," they said.

The singer added that he felt like someone had punched him in the stomach after hearing the devastating news.

On the other hand, Barrett had a hard time accepting the news. She recalled that she was at home with her son when everything started unfolding.

"At first I was just like, 'This isn't real... it can't be real. You've made a mistake.' I still can't believe it's real," she said, (via E Online)

O'Meara later chimed in and noted that it was "horrendous" and the news was "just a complete shock."
