On Wednesday, July 26, Ethan Slater's marriage to Lilly Jay would come to an end when he filed for divorce.
Despite any potential relationship rumors involving Ariana Grande, his main focus is now on being a good co-parent to their son who will celebrate his first birthday next month.
An insider close to the "Wicked" star claimed to TMZ that he is determined and desperate to work together with his ex-wife to raise their child.
The split between Lilly and her high school sweetheart has been a difficult experience for the former.
Nevertheless, that hasn't stopped him from attempting to stay in contact with her each day concerning their son - as revealed by a source close to the "The SpongeBob Squarepants Musical: Live On Stage" star.
It appears that two months before his supposed relationship with the "Thank U Next" singer commenced, Ethan and Lilly split.
A source close to the situation has reported that since then, Ethan has been spending a lot of quality time with his son in London and intends to remain an engaged father going forward.
Even though Lilly had concurred with her soon-to-be ex-husband about co-parenting their child, an insider reports that she rejected her soon-to-be ex-husband and asked for a joint declaration concerning their devotion to raising their boy.
When speaking to social media, Lilly had something else in mind.
According to an inside source, she advised her former husband that she was unaware of what being on record entailed on July 27 when conversing with Page Six.

In a strongly-worded statement, Lilly launched an attack on Ariana for apparently playing a part in the downfall of their four-year marriage.
"[Ariana's] the story really. Not a girl's girl," Lilly raged about the "Die For You" vocalist.
"My family is just collateral damage," she noted sadly.
Despite the anguish, however, her primary focus remains to be "a good mom" according to The Daily Mail. Lilly highlighted Ariana's separation from husband Dalton Gomez in January which became public knowledge on Monday, July 17. "The story is about her and Dalton," she said solemnly.
In contrast to the chaotic situation between Lilly and Ethan, it appears that Ariana and Dalton are intent on staying the best of pals.
The two of them reportedly seem determined to ensure their friendship remains strong no matter what, an insider revealed to OK.
