Lisa Marie Presley's twin daughters are ensuring they get a fair share of their mother's $35 million fortune.

The Presley family members faced legal issues as they want to obtain a place on the fortune Lisa Marie left behind. This even led to a reported war between Priscilla Presley and Riley Keough, who both fought for their rights over the estate.

Lisa Marie Presley's Twin Daughters Join Legal Proceedings Over Singer's Estate

Lisa Marie and her ex-husband, Michael Lockwood, welcomed their twin daughters, Finley and Harper, on Oct. 7, 2008. Now 14, the siblings reportedly started seeking a fair share of the estate by hiring a legal counsel and requesting guardian ad litem in the late singer's trust case.

The filing obtained by The Blast revealed that the twin pushed through with the filing since they are still minors. Through legal representation, they can ensure they receive a fair inheritance as the case moves to court.

Finley and Harper filed the documents after their sister, Riley, and grandmother, Priscilla, reached an agreement in May over Lisa Marie's estate. Their lawyers said the terms would be kept confidential, though a follow-up filing revealed that Riley would give Priscilla a $1 million lump sum and $400,000 to cover the legal fees and costs within 10 days after the daughter receives the life insurance proceeds.

After the settlement, Riley ultimately became the sole trustee of the estate, while the twin sisters became the sub-trusts. Following the ruling, Lisa Marie's eldest daughter is now in-charge in safeguarding and investing the fortune "in a manner consistent with the needs of the beneficiaries, and not influenced by the desire of a Trustee."
