Tory Lanez was supposedly sentenced for his crimes against female rapper Megan Thee Stallion today. However, it seemed to be delayed again.

Various people have spoken in court, appealing for a shorter sentence for the rapper, who has been convicted of assaulting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.

Tory Lanez Sentencing Delayed

According to Legal Affairs Journalist Meghann Cuniff, who has been covering Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion's trial since then, the Tory Lanez sentencing trial was delayed again and is expected to finish tomorrow.

Per Cuniff, Judge David Herriford received 70+ letters of support, talking good things about Tory Lanez; among those are from Iggy Azalea, who asked Judge Herriford to give Lanez a "transformational" sentence and not a "life-destroying" one. Two inmates talked about Lanez, one in letter, and one in person.

An inmate's letter, read by the chaplain, claimed that Lanez was "remorseful" and even spoke about the event "in detail" and "what he could have done to prevent it."

Notably, Lanez's father, Sonstar Peterson, talked before the court.

He tearfully apologized to Judge Herriford for blasting him outside the courtroom after he gave the verdict to his son. According to Peterson, he was "emotional" and did not intend to "disrespect" him.

Tory Lanez Reason of Sentence Revealed?

According to Cuniff, Judge David Herriford decided the aggravating factors to the case.

She tweeted: "Yes to use of a gun and Meg as a vulnerable victim. But Judge Herriford said no to finding the crime was done with a high-level of callousness."

As of this writing, Cuniff noted that she does not know how that would affect the sentence. Meanwhile, Judge Herriford hinted at the reasoning behind his upcoming sentence verdict for Tory Lanez.

"Important: Judge Herriford said he believes Lanez's actions after the shooting, the social media posts and harassment of Megan, are a major aggravating factor in his sentence. He says he won't consider lack of remorse, but he says considering the post-shooting actions are similar," Cuniff tweeted.

Megan Thee Stallion Conflicted On Coming To Sentencing?

According to Megan Thee Stallion, whose letter was read by Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta, she "struggled" on deciding whether to attend in person for the sentencing, but she noted that her absence should be "seen as her preserving her mental well being."

"Since I was viciously shot by the defendant, I have not experienced a single day of peace," she said in the statement. "Slowly but surely, I'm healing and coming back, but I will never be the same."
