Noel Gallagher's decision to have former Kasabian fron tman Tom Meighan support his upcoming arena tour has been met with some criticism.

The acclaimed former Oasis musician recently revealed plans for the shows, to promote the new album from his band, Noel Gallagher and The Flying Birds - "Council Skies "- much to the joy of devoted fans.

Sadness has befallen fans of the Kasabian following news that one of the band's musicians, Tom Meighan, would join the December dates of their upcoming tour.

In July 2020, he was detained after assaulting his then-fiancée and now wife, Vikki Ager. Unfortunate circumstances less than 24 hours before this incident had led to his departure from the English rock band.

As a consequence of having pleaded guilty, the man was handed a sentence of 200 hours of community service.

Subsequently, to move past his alcohol addiction and treat any behavioral issues, rehab treatment was completed. Then, on the July 2021 milestone date, Vikki and him exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony that adhered to the COVID-19 lockdown protocols.

In the wake of the news, numerous individuals have expressed disapproval of the "Champagne Supernova" vocalist for furnishing Meighan with such an extensive outlet. The outcry has been largely visible on social media platforms.

One fan wrote in a state of disbelief, "Why is he having Tom Meighan as his support? After those tweets about his miss ffs and being expelled from Kasabian?!", while another noted, "I cannot understand how domestic violence against women can be overlooked just because someone is famous. This I find hard to accept."

In response to the upsetting news, some have chosen to skip from attending the concert.

Anger and disappointment seem to be the sentiments of many fans after learning that Noel Gallagher had chosen Tom Meighan as his support act for his Glasgow concert.

One fan posted, "Selling one standing ticket for Noel Gallagher in Glasgow!! I'm so f**king angry that he's allowing Tom Meighan to be his support!" while another wrote, "Put my ticket up for sale!

In the past, there has been speculation of a collaboration between indie rockstar Kasabian and former Oasis icon, Noel. The latter even went so far as to admit that he would accept an invitation to join Kasabian were it ever to be offered. Nevertheless, in 2011 Meighan dismissed any such rumors, despite his outward admiration for the band and their work - describing them as "f**king brilliant".
