Steve Lacy came under fire last year after he smashed the camera of a fan who attended his concert. More recently, the musician is speaking out and reflecting on his actions, but it appears that he didn't regret his wrongdoings.

More recently, the R&B star spoke with a news outlet to share his thoughts about the 2022 incident.

At first, he didn't feel like he owed anyone an apology due to his actions, and months later after the issue, it appears that he still stands by it, especially in the present wherein many musicians have been facing several on-stage mishaps like fans throwing random items on stage.

Speaking in a recent interview with Variety, he noted that the conversation behind his drama and the recent cases of harassment on artists while performing was all due to the fans who attend shows that don't have the proper manners while being in the audience area.

He added that although some of the younger fans annoy him sometimes, he still gives them the benefit of the doubt as they're young and most of them were just attending their first concert ever.
