Lizzo is being accused and sued for body shaming, sexual harassment, false imprisonment, hostile work environment, racial and religious discrimination, and many more.

The lawsuit was filed by three of the "About Damn Time" singer's former dancers, Arianna Davis, Noelle Rodriguez, and Crystal Williams; however, more updates reveal that there are more former dancers who came forward with similar allegations.

"Noelle, Crystal, and Arianna have bravely spoken out and shared their experiences, opening the door for others to feel empowered to do the same.

"Some of the claims we are reviewing may be actionable, but it is too soon to say," said Ron Zambrano, the lawyer of the three former dancers.

Lizzo's Former Dancers Fight For Themselves

After the lawsuit came to light, several other people who have worked closely with Lizzo have come forward with their experiences with the singer and claimed that the singer is not who she portrays herself to be.

This, perhaps, gave Davis, Rodriguez, and Williams the strength and conviction to double down and pursue the matter more diligently.

"We were treated poorly. Nobody did anything about it when we tried to speak up and advocate for ourselves. So now we're doing it," Williams said in an interview with People magazine.

"I know that my mind feels a lot clearer. There was a lot of anxiety and a lot of feelings of being overwhelmed once our suit was made public. But today, I feel very proud to be pursuing this with these ladies."

David and Williams were fired after advocating for themselves and asking for better treatment within the dance team, whereas Rodriguez resigned after witnessing the two other former dancers' fate.

They were accused of gaining weight, and being "lazy," which is what led to their termination.

"[Those accusations] only came after [the] dance cast, that was predominantly either Black women or women of color, started advocating for themselves and asking for better treatment and to be paid what we deserve on the job," Williams said of the termination.

"And I really feel like that never applied to me because I voluntarily left on my own terms. I was so disgusted by the treatment that I saw," Rodriguez then added.

Lizzo Denies All Allegations

Following the news of the lawsuit, Lizzo took to social media to address the allegations, which she all denied.

"I am not the villain that people and the media have portrayed me to be these last few days," the singer wrote, calling the published articles "sensationalized stories."

"There is nothing I take more seriously than the respect we deserve as women in the world. I know what it feels like to be body shamed on a daily basis and would absolutely never criticize or terminate an employee because of their weight," the statement read.
