It has been almost two years since Britney Spears was freed from her conservatorship, and she has been taking her time with her healing and getting back on her feet.

The "Oops I Did It Again" singer has released some collaborative projects here and there, but no new album announcement seems to be in sight.

According to reports, it might be because Spears is "still coming to terms with independent life and mentally processing her freedom."

However, despite not having any plans of releasing new music any time soon, Spears has announced a tell-all memoir titled "The Woman in Me," slated for an October release.

Fans eagerly anticipate the book's release, especially since Spears has not shared any specific events and incidents that happened to her during her years-long conservatorship.

On top of that, there have been some whispers regarding a sit-down, tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey as well.

Will Britney Spears Tell Oprah Everything?

The rumors of Spears having a tell-all interview with Oprah has been going around for quite some time now, but it seems like the prospect has reached the public.

Here is what an insider close to Spears had to say: "The [interview] proposal remains complicated for Britney who continues to face challenges speaking to strangers at length about intimate aspects of her life."

It seems like the interview might be an overreach, especially with the trauma she has experienced under the conservatorship.

"The trauma didn't go away overnight just because the conservatorship ended," the source continued. "Some days can be extremely testing and conversations can trigger her to behave unusually or even erratically."

Britney Spears' Memoir 'The Woman in Me'

It seems like having a memoir released, as well as a tell-all interview seems redundant, however, no one is certain what the "Toxic" singer is up to.

As per the source, "The decision is down to Britney about whether she feels ready to talk on camera and address subjects in the book."

Fans, on the other hand, are thrilled to finally hear from the singer, as they will get to know her better, regardless if the tell-all is through a book or an interview.

However, some are skeptical of Oprah being Spears' interviewer. A fan wrote, "Britney Spears deserves an empathetic confidant who will genuinely listen and advocate for her wellbeing, steering clear of soundbites or exploiting her narrative for self-promotion. I don't trust Oprah to fulfill this role faithfully."
