Taylor Swift music videos are highly regarded on their own. With her new foray into directing, Swift was also known to be a great caster.

From casting her entire friend group in "Bad Blood," to getting Sadie Sink and Dylan O'Brien for "All Too Well: The Short Film," Swift also recruited the talented Joey King for "Mean" and "I Can See You."

Joey King Reacts To Taylor Swift Casting Her Again

Speaking to People Magazine in an interview, Joey King gushed about Taylor Swift when she was asked about her thoughts on being cast again on a "Speak Now" track's music video - "I Can See You."

"I was so honored that she wanted to have me back for the Speak Now (Taylor's Version) era, because all those years ago, being part of the 'Mean' music video was so special and so formative for me," she told the magazine. "And now, coming back for this, and the video meaning of us breaking the Speak Now Taylor out of the vault, is so special."

Notably, King was cast as the lead on Taylor Swift's music video for "Mean" in 2010, a track from the original "Speak Now" album. In 2023, in an effort to reclaim all of her music, Swift re-recorded the album "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)."

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts, making it her biggest debut week for a re-recorded album so far, and also the biggest album to debut this 2023 with 575,000 album equivalent units.
