Reports suggest that the producer has been discussing with the singer about her starring as Linda Ronstadt in a movie. This rumor is fuelled by an old video of the "Come And Get It" singer speaking about discovering the music icon after people remarked on their striking resemblance.
This past Friday, Selena Gomez posted several images of Linda Ronstadt to her Instagram story.
One featured the song Blue Bayou with an accompanying quote: "The smell of the carpet in a hotel room is the same everywhere."
The significance of this post hasn't been officially announced yet, but speculations are swirling as fans believe it could be hinting something.
Linda Ronstadt, one of the most influential artists of the 1970s and 80s, has been widely recognized for her success.
Turning 77 this year, she is a rock music icon with multiple successful hits such as "Long, Long Time," "Different Drum," "It Doesn't Matter Anymore," and "When Will I Be Loved."
